SMS Credits

Whoopa can send SMS reminders to your clients before their appointments. Each SMS costs one credit — you buy credits as needed, no subscription required.

How SMS reminders work

When a booking is made, Whoopa schedules an SMS reminder to be sent to the client before their appointment. The message includes the date, time, and service name, sent from the Whoopa sender ID so clients recognise it.

Reminders are sent automatically — you don't need to do anything once credits are in your account.

Credit pricing

Each SMS costs $0.10 AUD (10 cents). There are no monthly fees or expiry dates — credits stay in your account until you use them.

Topping up credits

Go to Settings → SMS Credits in your dashboard. Use the slider to choose how many credits to purchase — anywhere from 50 to 2,000 — then click Top up. Payment is processed securely via Stripe.

• 50 credits — $5.00
• 100 credits — $10.00
• 500 credits — $50.00
• 1,000 credits — $100.00

You can top up at any time in any amount between 50 and 2,000 credits per transaction.

Checking your balance

Your current SMS credit balance is shown in Settings → SMS Credits. When your balance drops below 25 credits, it is highlighted in red as a low-balance warning.

SMS coverage

SMS reminders are delivered to Australian mobile numbers. International numbers are not currently supported for SMS. If your clients are outside Australia, email confirmations and reminders are still sent automatically at no cost.
